Story Begins in Detroit
Via 313 was founded with a single purpose: to bring the soul of Detroit-style pizza to Texas. Our founders grew up eating the thick, crispy-edged, cheese-laden pies that define Motor City cuisine — and they wanted to share that experience with the world. The name 313 is Detroit's area code, a tribute to the city that inspired everything we do.
What started as a humble food trailer in Austin quickly grew into something much bigger. Word spread fast that Via 313 pizza was unlike anything else in the Lone Star State — a rectangular masterpiece with caramelized cheese edges, a pillowy interior, and sauce ladled right on top. Today, via313 stands as the premier destination for authentic Detroit-style pies in Cedar Park, TX and beyond.
Every pizza we make honors the tradition of the Buddy's-style square pie while adding our own signature twist. We source only the finest ingredients, ferment our dough the old-fashioned way, and use a cheese blend that delivers that iconic lacy, crispy edge every single time.

2012
The Detroit Dream Begins
Brandon Hunt and Zane Hunt, brothers from Detroit, launch Via 313 as a food trailer on Rainey Street in Austin, TX. Armed with their grandmother's recipe and a passion for Motor City pizza, they introduced Texans to the square pie.
2014
Brick & Mortar First Location
Demand outgrew the trailer. Via 313 opens its first permanent restaurant in South Austin, bringing the full Detroit-style experience — dining room, bar, and all — to a rapidly growing fanbase.
2016
National Recognition
Food media takes notice. Via 313 earns features in Eater, Texas Monthly, and Zagat as one of the top pizza destinations in the South. The via313 name becomes synonymous with Detroit-style excellence outside of Michigan.
2018
Multi-Location Expansion
With two additional Austin locations now open, Via 313 begins franchising conversations. The signature steel blue-and-orange aesthetic and menu are standardized to maintain the authentic via 313 experience across all locations.
2021
Cedar Park Opens
The Cedar Park location at 1335 E Whitestone Blvd opens to enormous community enthusiasm. The new space features an expanded menu, private dining room for catering events, and the beloved open kitchen that lets guests watch their pizza come to life.
2024
Franchise Program Launch
Via 313 officially launches its franchise program, making it possible for passionate pizza lovers across the United States to bring the authentic via 313 Detroit-style experience to their own communities.
